Suppressed M60E4/Mk43 MOD1 Commando Machine Gun in Action Tube. Duration : 2.82 Mins.


This video clip features David Crane, owner/editor-in-chief of DefenseReview.com (www.defensereview.com) test-firing a suppressed US Ordnance M60E4 MOD1 Commando machine gun. There's currently an informational mistake in the video. The muzzle can aka sound suppressor aka silencer attached to the M60E4/Mk43 Commando in the video clip was not made by Badger Ordnance. Steve Helzer, General Manager, US Ordnance, told us during the shoot (machine gun/video shoot) that the can (sound suppressor) was a Badger Ordnance suppressor. This had gnawed at me since the shoot, since I've never known Badger Ordnance to make suppressors. So, I contacted US Ordnance about this within days of publishing the video here. Sure enough, Steve was mistaken. Within a few days after publishing the video, we were informed by Curtis Debord Sr., a consultant with US Ordnance, that the suppressor shown is a John's Guns R18 QD (Quick-Detach) suppressor (7.62mm NATO), possibly made from Inconel for high-heat resistance. We'll research this (raw material). In any case, the R18 can (suppressor) cut down the noize considerably, and definitely resisted a lot of heat.
