This is the third Wednesday of the month noon test run of my privately owned Federal Signal Thunderbolt 1000T warning siren. The purpose of the monthly test is to ensure that the remote activation system works as designed, and will quickly activate the siren in the case of a real tornado emergency. The siren is capable of being heard up to 5 miles away, and the remote activation system will work anywhere in the world. I had another camera sitting inside the shop on the controls shooting video, as well as myself placed 1/2 mile away from the siren at Hicks Rd. I remotely activated the siren from that location. The siren at the Industrial Park in Dickson failed to sound this time around.
