Sentry 3V8, Full Alert: Wheatland, Indiana (Knox Co. Tornado Siren Test, HD) Video Clips. Duration : 8.33 Mins.
This is a test of the Knox County Outdoor Siren System. Sirens are normally tested on Saturdays between 11:00-12:00 EST weather permitting. Today the sirens were set to sound around 11:35. The sirens will only be sounded during mostly clear days. They will not be sounded during overcast skies. Once again, a big thanks goes to the Knox Co. EMA director whom I asked If he could set them off today. This particular siren is located at the Fire Department which is located near S Niblack Rd & N Railroad St. Knox County has several 3V8s and 3V8-Hs located throughout parts of Knox County. They also sound as if they are single phase which leads me to conclude that ALL of Knox County's sirens are single phase much like nearby Warrick County which has ONLY single phase sirens. This is my first time recording and hearing a 3V8 up-close. The first time I heard a 3V8 was back in February before a 2T22-B kicked-in at Tecumseh-Harrison Elementary. It then came to my realization that the sound on the small sirens are very capable of traveling very far. Knox Co.
