Kosin store outdoor sound systems

Needed a better mic, then whats on the camcorder for outdoor fliming as going to be doing interviews, so shotgun was the best choice as they are highly directional and rejects noise around it and going to be booming it above each person as they speak. Was looking for something for a reasonable price as I still need to buy a good indoor stereo microphone and lavalier microphone , found this MXL=FR-304 for 9.99, but only paid 5 for it due to musiciansfriend priced match it. Seems to be crisp and clear will try it outside once I get a good blimp system for it. Never use a shotgun mic on top of the camcorder, always have it boomed or on a mic stand, to keep it out of the film and for better dialogue just have it pointing down at the person toward the person a few inchs above their head. Size of Mic is 21mm diameter and 14" (355.6mm) in length, took a ruler to it. If you are looking for a shotgun mic for youtube don't...Get a stereo lavalier microphone or wireless one instead.
